In order to make this training protocol most safe AND effective you must follow the directions from the instructor on each video as closely as possible. You must also remember that each video must be completed in the exact order in which it is set out, so that you achieve maximum benefits from this program. To avoid overtraining and injury and or/illness each video is to be completed at least 4 times for the very fit cyclist and around 8 times for the not so fit cyclist before moving on to the next stage. As with all exercise training sessions, you are to be well hydrated and makesure you have eaten appropriatly in order to conduct an exercise training session before you even attempt to partake in any video training session. You must also be feeling well at the time of training. If you have any injuries or medical conditions or simply are not feeling well then you must seek medical attention and have CLEARANCE from your medical professional before conducting any CYCLE-IN training session.
We kick off your first General Training ride as one peloton, 'finding our way' through a flat terrain and gradually building up a small gradient; simulating as such by using bigger gears towards the end of the track. We effectively utilise the RPE scale, gauging our bodies reaction the exercise demand from our pace, gears and push, this happens right away during our ride.
